Goodbye Robin

Goodbye Robin

A Poem by Aimee B. Melancholy
"

A memorial poem for Robin Williams.

"

How could this have happened?

How could our beloved Oh-Captain-My-Captain take his own life?

These are not questions for us to ask to cause his family more strife.

Let's just celebrate him for who he was and say goodbye.

Goodbye, Peter Panning.

We hope you now have no problems flying,

And that you're soaring high in that beautiful Neverland in the sky.

GOOODBYEEE, ADRIAN CRONAUER!

The war is finally over but your memory will live on,

Long after your final broadcast has come and gone.

Goodbye, Mrs. Doubtfire.

Your children sure are proud,

And from now, until they join you will sing your praises loud.

Goodbye, Genie old friend.

Your performance was cute and camp.

We wish we could bring you back by rubbing Aladdin's magic lamp.

But we know that is breaking Rule Number Three,

And this is the way that things have to be.

Goodbye, Mork from Ork.

To quote Tommy Lee Jones,

You aren't dead,

You just went home.

Goodbye, Alan Parrish.

Your game was really fun and sealed your fate.

We wish you were in the jungle,

Just waiting on a five or eight.

Goodbye, Robin.

Our lives you made happy and bright.

You were one of comedy's last great shining lights.
