Keeper of the Jewelry

Keeper of the Jewelry

A Poem by Jon Lattone

I miss you.
You.
Ghost of my past.
I'm sorry that we didn't last.

You're on my mind.
Now.
Ghost of love lost memory.
Keeper of the jewelry.

There is a beautiful, bittersweet longing in your reflections and recollections.. Looking back at the one who held your heart.. maybe still does in some way. Wonderful, profoundly moving work.

I think this poem could have been extended a lot more. I like the idea of love as a ghost and I think many people could relate to that as they think back to their loved ones or relationships that are keeping time in the graveyard of loves past.

I thought this was a good poem. It was sad in a way to me. I love the first stanza. It was cute. Thanks for sharing. :)
