Unspoken Words

Unspoken Words

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell

Every time you speak to me, your words bring me pain,

Like an unattended flame, your words burn deeper everyday,

Cats claw, and scream at one another, yet you just speak so softly.

Just put me in my coffin and hold your tongue!

Whisper no more in my range, words that cut my every vein,

Vile and sullen I can take but not one more syllable of your hate,

Putrid dislike for my look, rancid contempt for thoughts.

Every time you speak to me, your words bring me pain.

Very sad when we are on the receiving end of someone who belittles and is nasty.........words can be so cruel and painful...........your descriptions of rather being in a coffin instead of hearing one more word are so
sad............i hope this is not an account of how you feel..........
alot of emotion and pain in vivid words.

sad and yet, theres that nasty boiling of barely contained wrath beneath the layer of.... niceness. i love the play of words. and the back and forth from the strange calm to the rageful fit. ooooo, very nice. so like emotion with its peaks and valleys

However this is directed at (maybe everyone who's horrible?) it is very powerful.

Good write.

So painful, but I can relate to this. Hatefulness is so difficult to deal with, especially repeatedly. It wears you down until you begin questioning everything. So unfair. You did a beautiful job of this, great imagery and heartfelt.

My best to you, friend.

Very strong feelings conveyed effectively through an excellent choice of words and language.

I love how you end and begin the piece with the same lines.
Well done.

If this is a true account. If this person is real ? It is a beautiful write, and no clearer sign, and no clearer wrong. Follow your words that come from your heart. He is a burden to your soul. Rain..

"Just put me in my coffin and hold your tongue!"

Very powerful emotions.
Hopefully not something that can be changed or left.

Hopefully, my words will not follow in kind. :)

Your work seems inspired by mono-themes--conversations that face a severe gravitational pull into planatery orbits that offer very little in the way of beautiful sites and sounds.

'Whisper no more in my range, words that cut my every vein...' a line that is truly empathy in motion for me.

Thanks for the submission.

Somewhere on the edge of the imagination

About
Dreams are not made to be broken, but are created in the heart to write destiny! I've always loved making up stories and putting words down onto paper, despite the fact that I only really learnt to.. more..
