THE FIGHT

My battle with VCU's verdict against me for an honor's violation that I did not do

The Fight

 

I had no choice but to take it

But I didn’t have to take it lying down

I signed up for a Council’s hearing

But they let me burn to ashes on the ground

 

The miss high and might program director

Who thinks she is absolutely NEVER wrong

No convincing her at this moment or ever

Croaking like a toad her disapproving song

 

Then came the executive board appeal

Smiling attentively smug and smitten

No matter the evidence backing my side

Staring blankly cuz no one listened

 

Through the process of “tyrant” policy

No one dare refute the investigator

For all the good it did me I could be in the Everglades

Sitting across the dinner table with an alligator

 

The director who filed against me

Is no more than a snake in the grass

God is watching and he doesn’t like ugly

He knows as well as she does, I passed every class

 

No matter how hard I fought

The verdict remained the same

Like David vs. Goliath, LadyAnn vs. VCU

They are about to see ... ... INSANE

 

This evil side that is reserved for the enemy

Is about to be called out because of this

I will NEVER accept what they are doing to me

Trust me…I will be the one who ends with BLISS

 

I fought the good fight

I did it their way

But before I die

The nation will hear what I have to say

 

There is no path that can be taken

I will not live in the world they give

And if I choose to commit suicide

It will be so that justice and honor may live

I deserve my MS diploma

I am an honorable Christian human being

I worked harder than any other student

Can’t wait to slam the door as I am leaving

 

What kind of school gives such a profound education

Punishing so severe the education is lost

Instead of letting it serve in the addiction world

Where I can save lives…with no cost

 

QUESTION: What kind of school is this? 

ANSWER: Obviously a non-religious, arrogant, and tyrannical one!

Wow gettin screwed by the school, no rightful school should hold a diploma. If you passed the classes and paid in full then who the hell are they to say who can have their diploma! There has got to be a higher entity you can appeal to? Maybe trial by public opinion in the court of the media might give them a big enough black eye to make them rethink the crappy choice????

Good morning J Todd, thank you for saying that...I agree...I am going to Virginia on Jan 25th at the invitation of the president of the school. I had to threaten suicide for them to finally listen. The president and I have come up with a plan...I am praying that it will work...instead of violating me they are going to still punish me with 4 DIFFERENT sanctions, 1) a $1500 fine, 2) a research paper on ETHICS, 3) community service hours to be performed on VCU school grounds, 4) rewrite the assignment I plagiarized the 26 words on. In exchange for the "F" in the course I will receive an
"I" (for incomplete) retake the class starting in Feb 16, and graduate on May 2nd of this year. BUT I DO GRADUATE! I have been almost out of my mind with this for over 10 months and when the final verdict came back even with all my proof, they decided to still violate me...UT-UH...NO WAY...I do not accept that! For 26 words they are stealing $50,000 and 2 valuable years of my life! Well I finally wrote about it and even though it is not resolved...I do feel better. Somehow when I write it truly does help my anger (or whatever emotion I am in)...it really IS therapeutic for me! I would be no where without my poetry! This poem I wrote FLEW out of me so fast I could not type it that fast...Sometimes I just don't understand things...I know that I don't see things the same way everyone else does....I am unique that way...I have never had a normal life...but still my life is GOOD now and serves to help and stabilize very ill people. What I do is very, very hard and most people give up on the extreme cases I serve. I am trained in suicide prevention at all costs. I have saved 4 suicides and countless victims of addiction. Why would any school who has given me such an extensive education want to squander it away? It is ludicrous!!! For the first time in a very long time I felt helpless. Nothing I did swayed them.
