Because You're Worth ItA Poem by LadyAnn68why recover?Because You’re Worth It
Remember when your family
cried Endless efforts they did try Moments looked in their eye Out of mouth came only a lie Sitting in a dream-like high Watch sunrise and wondered
why
As the years outside the high
flew Thought you were lucky,
thought you knew Always ended emotionally blue Devastation, calamity,
nothing new Finally the damages did
accrue Effects on everyone you
hadn’t a clue
Stealing, violence,
prostitution, and guns Negativity and evil had to be
done You succeeded alone and
naturally won Disrespect and hate from
everyone Now in the dark you are only
one No more money, no more fun
I was like this for 26 years On the edge I was near Broke and beaten with many
fears Battled and bruised with
oceans of tears Using God’s help I am here Understand this perfectly
clear
You CAN give up all your sins Don’t tell stories very thin Wear your Higher Power like a
pin Make amends to all your kin Soon the dark lightens to dim Crawl out of the hole…finally WIN
QUESTION: WHY SHOULD YOU TRY?
ANSWER: BECAUSE YOU’RE WORTH
IT!
