Along with That Summer

Along with That Summer

A Poem by Bacchus
"

Just fun

"
Sweating along with that Summer sun
My freckles reach my toes
Wiggle them, in the rich ray's dance
Peeking over the top of my glass
Tinted shade.

Sweating along with this summer sun
Mind can't think past the country song
Filled with dogwood flowers,
Just riding the heat
Making waves.

Sweated along with the sun all day
The moon comes out to play
But the warm remains
It's the midsummer

Cracked beer
Back to that honky tonk
Drive me mad love
Truck bed racing
Thoughts
Too hot for boots
I'll bring you along.
Throw out
Those flip-flops
Running
Dry grass
Racing heart
Sweating along with moonlight, summertime fun.

I lived in Evansville, IN just 30 min from IL and remember:

"Sweating along with this summer sun
Mind can't think past the country song
Filled with dogwood flowers,
Just riding the heat
Making waves.

Sweated along with the sun all day
The moon comes out to play
But the warm remains
It's the midsummer

Cracked beer"

Nice to hear woman sweat not "sparkle". A good sweat cleanses the soul of misconceptions about our being. :)

Loving this one. Too hot for boots, but not necessarily for boots off.:) Umm, I am binge reading and reviewing you again ...

the heat is intense here in IL ....as you know...
but it beats the heat on the concrete i was used to as a kid growing up in NY
either love or heat...one or the other may drive me mad.

It's been insane. Sounds like you need to write about it. Thankful for the review.
