For Always

Normally won't get a description out of me...But this poem took a lot out of me. Some times the hardest thing in life is accepting what we don't want to accept. And acceptance, just never has been me.

What you mean when you say

Maybe its me in a way...

And at the same time it isnt...

Just listen.....

How can the memories

Feel like nightmares?

And when I wake up

Why do I wish that you'd still be here?

Its just a distant reality

Seeing you happy

Knowing that shes the one

Who makes you

Smile.

 

Now that I see what my eyes

Knew so long ago

Now that my heart is getting ready

To let you go.

Now that I finally understand.

You could never love me!

Or be my man!!

 

When I was the one who wanted you to smile

When I was the one who was giving my all!

I guess wishing only gets you so far.

And tonight in the clearest states of mind

I don't see a single star in the sky.

Wishing for you is like wishing on a lie........
