Story Telling

Story Telling

A Poem by LadyCardiac

Let me write you a story

Of laughter and peace

Sunshine and smiles

With memories creek.

Let me tell you the story

Of wedding day bliss.

Happily ever afters

And one sacried kiss...

Wind chimes

And laughter

Tucked away in a box

Of childhood memories

Right next to a doll she pledged

To love forever more.

No longer fascinated with

Its china doll eyes

She's into rusted metal

With chains that clank along

A now hollow hall.

I'll tell you a story but it won't be

One of mine.

I like this very much. love the imagery. the flow is good. The last line I think may be not so true in my mind, as I think all writers write a bit of their own story into each piece whether they mean to or not :) I enjoy your writing. :) thanks for sharing

Thanks. I couldve left a note for this piece but it was meant to let the mind wonder.

very cool images, and I like the way the stanzas flow...a bit vague as far subject but then again all poets at one point or another..."are vague"... LOL...sometimes a little note for the reviewer helps clear things up a bit....still a great piece.
