P.O.E.T (Pouring Out Emotions Today)

A Poem by LadyCardiac

Pour me an ounce of your religious views

But sell it to me thick.

Im a lonely passenger to life

And it keeps talking s**t.

They give us the pills to cope

But haven't quiet figured out how to kill the soul.

Pop another pain pill and pray you live to see the days of old.

Help me because im falling off this pedastool.

My friends want me to be strong like always

But i don't have the strength to stand.

They say stand on GODs word hold on to his hand.

I ask the Lord why, and he said no that's the wrong answer.

I drink three drinks, and stay away from smoking.

They say Kayla if you keep that up

Soon with the Lord you'll be dining.

No outlet for stress relief

And poetry really shouldn't be this depressing.

Pour me another ounce of something

Because all these years of religous veiws doesn't seem to be helping.

LadyCardiac
This isnt me turning my back to GOD... I just feel as though I've lost my way, lost my will, lost a sense of feeling any thing other then pain.
