The Woman and a Question

The Woman and a Question

A Poem by Violet's Run
"

She is primal female predator.. jaded, been there, aloof, yet... still curious and hopeful deep down...

"

The Woman and a Question

I feel the wind of change blowing in,
 like the memory of a fever I had back then;

I feel the wind of change  blowing in,
like the first time I realized I was in love;

I find the door so very easy to shut these days.

 I find the questions tougher to ask these days.

So many wasted nights spent
 with my deep longing
 turned to pain

Are you going to be the one
 to save me from myself?

Not like the white lightning
 that comes only in the storm so half hearted.

But the hurricane that sweeps me away with him to nevermore

I stand in a doorway waiting
without breath,
without  a heartbeat until;

 you arrive.

You will have to awaken this beauty my friend
 because she is so sound asleep.

You will have to know the answers to the questions she will ask you

you will have to be ready to ride the whirlwind
because she is a  magic woman.

A woman of the desert storm,
 that blows across dry parched land.

She is the rain maker
 and she finds the time to make it rain.

She can find the time to make it rain
 for a new lover who is an old friend.

If you trust yourself keep on riding that steel monster for here I stand and wait.

Wait like every princess in every story that you have ever read

Waiting for a true fantasy to arrive just once in this awful world

 |
Let it be you
