Some things are worse than death......

LOVE 

You left me

Ransacked and abandoned

The only world I knew was pain

As the boundaries of my universe

Began capsizing in like rain

LOVE

You left me

A hostage and a prisoner

With no avenue of escape

When everyone put me on trial

You left me

LOVE 

Left me hanging on the gallows

With no one there to cut me down

No one to lay my body down

Just a corpse in situ

Dead

In the aftermath of you.

wow thank you for the great comment miss kindred...This poem was the result of a very painful relationship I was havng trouble getting over.. It was just like this poem feels.. I felt executed in a way.. and tried and hung by a lynching mob.. you know the "he said, she said" kind. Thank you for the read and the great comment.

annaballa what a beautiful name that is.. bella is one of my favorites. I think this poem had it's own agenda.. it just grew and used the in situ quite out of the blue.. I was amazed myself.
