Please Bring Some Of These

Please Bring Some Of These

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Please Bring Some Of These
by Tricia Pattinson

I miss exploring
Dressing up in combat boots
Fatigues and thermal wear
Crossing streams on a rope
Falling in and soaking wet
Flying a single at a 1000 feet
Knowing always true north
The smell of morning in the clouds
Nestled next to a campfire
But I think most of all
I miss your smile
Your refusal to rest
Hiding your Nodose from you
Laughing at your lack of tidiness
These I wish were present
When in my dreams you visit

There is a sense of nostalgia in this that captured me. I loved this adventurous type style. Well done.

Yes, this is a poem based in the past with actual events shared with a lifelong friend who passed.
I enjoyed this a lot. A unique and nicely written poem.
