Lost In The Moment

Lost In The Moment

A Poem by Lady S

Lost In the moment

the memory, the tragedy

of love's warm embrace

Not a second of it am I willing to erase

Lost in the moment

the memory of you next to me

Our eyes meet our cheeks touch

I try to turn away but I need this so much

Lost in the innocents the time we missed

The other's warm embrace

The tainted lips that formed the kiss how I remember the taste

The sweat that poured I wanted more don't let it go to waste

You're here to stay but you went away

And how I miss your image

I can't erase you tender face and how I see you without a blemish

Your hands in my hair I can't go there

But I can't stop

I pushed you back but I wanted that because my heart began to drop

Lost in the moment of your caress

Your tenderness, the soft kisses down my back

As I look for more you have in store an all but flawless track

Lost in the feeling Lost in the touch

I wanted this so much

But now your gone

My heart is torn

But my body still feels your touch

This reads like a poetic journal entry...I like the repetition of the line Lost in the moment...it definitely heightens the feelings you convey...enjoyed perusing your words ;-)

Good display of emotions and conveying the feelings of the memory. The mix of rhyming and non-rhyming lines kinda disrupts the flow of the poem a little, though, making it a bit harder to fully 'get into it'.
