Written after hearing of the Death of World Renown Croc "whisperer" Steve Irwin

TO AUSTRALIA’S NEXT WILDLIFE WARRIOR

 

I used to believe that your father was unique

The way he tamed animals especially the crocs

He made me believe that there was still hope

 

That wildlife will live no matter what comes

They will survive and I wish to help the cause

 

Though I am not an Australian born and bred

I feel as though we are connected

 

I watch you and your mommy and little brother bob

I have a child of my own and I love him with all my heart

I heard your words the day your daddy died

 

I cried for you as in your way you said good-bye

You have the strength and courage to move on

 

You are the next in line; you with your mother

And your little brother Bob

 

You are the next Warrior for Wildlife

 

I know these words probably won’t reach you

But I pray for your family in hopes that all of you

 

Live life to the fullest and never give up

You are an angel Bindi, and I send you my love
