Owed To The Moon

Owed To The Moon

A Poem by Ladyinblck

The moment my soul broke free, it disappeared into the midnight sky.
She was there as a witness.
Could that be why?
To feel so intertwined.
The sight of her and everything turns into nothing.
My eyes fixated
My inner elated.
Could that be why?
The moment my soul broke free it disappeared into the midnight sky?
As if it knew.
That it was with her that it belonged.
Her full beauty was the contradiction.
A phase lived in solitaire confinement, where dark thoughts cultivated dark realities.
Her full beauty was the contradiction.
So as I sit and ponder why,
I'm realizing why,
The moment my soul broke free it disappeared into the midnight sky...
