Roland and Susan

Roland and Susan

A Poem by Lady in the pages
"

A tribute for the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. For Roland and Susan.

"

Your story joins the sky

Lovers who never had a chance

People who deserved a better destiny

Taken away from them by anger and greed

Who hasn’t heard a story like this?

Roland the cold gunslinger

Susan the strong cowgirl

How could your end be avoided?

Fire burned her and turned her to ash in the wind

Fire hardened him and turned him into stone

The story of Roland and Susan

Is now written in the stars

Goodbye Susan, Ka is the wind

And it has swept you away

Goodbye Roland the Dark Tower awaits you

  And Susan in the stars.
