How?

How?

A Poem by Lady Pearl
"

questioning the reaction of a past lover towards his lost love's new relationship.

"
If my hand rests in another's,
would that make you feel sad?
If he strokes a loose strand of hair behind my ear,
would you wish his fingers were yours?
If he laid a kiss upon my temple,
would you feel your lips burning?
if he was my first and last thought in the day,
would you feel jealous?
If he becomes close to my friends and they love him in return,
would you become envious?
if he held me at night and woke up next to me by dawn,
would your heart be breaking?
If I loved him back,
would dying be less painful?
Then how could you let me go?
