The Mist

The Mist

A Poem by Nocturnal Sunrise

The Mist

Angelic views shattered

By what you mean to me

No more thoughtful days of old

Togetherness or serenity

The past it plays the present

In each lives we lived

No more precious moments

Only intentions to forgive

Meandering though the days

My empty heart it wanes

No longer waves of passion

or passionate embrace

A life that’s lived

 yet compromised

In every single way

Drifting wayward, our happiness

the mist slowly ebbs away
