Lost

Nothing's ever the same when you've lost someone.

Lost

 

My family is crushed

Our spirit is hurt

And our faith has been pushed

Firmly into the dirt

 

We lost someone special

We lost someone pure

And the pain that we feel

Will never have a cure

 

Andy and Alex

Don’t understand why

Justin’s not with us

And mommy always cries

 

Daddy doesn’t get it

He’s always at work

And since Justin’s death

He’s been quite the jerk

 

Aaron tries his best

With all of his might

But he hasn’t been the same

Ever since that damned night

 

We’re lost without Justin

Our family can’t go on

Our relationship with each other

Will soon be gone

 

Because mommy only thinks

Of her own pain inside

And ignores her own children

Because one had died

 

Because daddy doesn’t care

And drinks himself dumb

Hoping the sadness he feels

Will soon become numb

 

Because Aaron has only

Our interests in his heart

And can’t seem to realize

He’ll soon just fall apart

 

It’s a domino effect

One tumbling after the other

Our family’s almost dead

Just like my little brother

 

Justin wouldn’t like this

But we feel so betrayed

He was only thirteen

His life wasn’t supposed to fade

 

And now here we are

In this pitiful state

Bitter and jaded

Our hearts filled with hate

 

Without dear Justin

Our family suffers defeat

Because we’re lost without him

And will never be complete
