My apology

Sometimes, the most important person, is the one we think about last

My apology.

 

I let you down, and I apologize.

You have been there, for me

all the time and no questions asked.

 

You have helped me

in good moments and bad

and I, did not even look back.

 

We dont know the value

of what we have till that day

its no longer in our hands.

 

Do i need to loose you

for me to look at you

and appreciate who you are?

 

You held me, comforted me

protected me, understood me,

allienated all when I needed to be alone.

 

I apologize to you,

Because there is no difference

"You" and "I" are the same.

 

I apologize to you,

and so, this apology

Is to myself.

Nicely done! Sums everything up and I believe that this is what many people want to say to their friends after something has happened.
"You" and "I" are the same. - Are you saying that there is the same dilemma with your inner self? In a way it's true, if you are true and critical (objectively) to yourself than you are the only one who knows you the best (but that's very rare).
