Who's My Daddy?

Who's My Daddy?

A Poem by Lalli
"

This is a true story.... I heard about it today, and the inspiration spewed from me within about 30 minutes. Hold on.. i promise you will not like this but it will open your mind

"

There are different types of social issues that arise from being rich

But then again rich people don’t have problems…
They’ll never understand what its like to live a hard knock life…

If that’s your mentality try this on for size…

She’s thirteen enrolled at a wealthy school with a millionaire for a father
So what could possibly bother this little girl?

Besides the fact that at such a young age
She’s become more of a woman than most by the time they are 25
Yet few people know the truth
Only those who have tried to help her cope with the abuse
Besides the fact that she has two children
Sad I know, especially at the age of thirteen…Its breathtaking
Yet how many of you were quick to think about what a little w***e she must be.
And started cursing in your head how promiscuous the younger generation is getting.
So if that’s how you’re thinking you might want to check in with housekeeping
Clean the judging mentality so that it sparkles with open-mindedness

Now are you ready for the brutal truth?!...

Because this young girl never got a chance to be a girl,
She never got to look at a young boy with lust
Since any sexual thought only stimulated an extreme sense of disgust.
Those two beautiful children that she’s trying to raise
Weren’t fathered by a young boy, they weren’t fathered by a smooth talking pedophile
They were fathered, by her father!
And every time she looks at them and sees the beautiful innocence of a child
She will have to overcome the pain of being reminded of just how far from innocent--they truly are
Because daddy needs to register as sexual offender
Daddy needs to be locked up for the rest of his life
That man put this little girls life and chopped it up into a blender
So no wonder she will face these traumatic issues for as long as she lives
No wonder she’s going to counseling to help deal with the stress
But  IT IS  a wonderful miracle that she’s still in school
That she it didn’t divert her from doing the best she knows how
And that she hasn’t caused even more destruction from anger driven decisions to take her beyond repair
She is playing her hand of cards with calculation
And the strength tthat this little girl has....
Needs to be commended and respected
Since that strength has grown into the power to overcome
The power to inspire, the power to humble, and the power the change your judgment
Because anyone who says, “money solves problems”…and then compares the street life to strengthen their argument
Speaks with ignorance
Of course the problems associated with living on the streets
Can not be compared to those problems that are dealt with by the rich
Because money brings a different set of issues
Remember that you never know what anyone else has been through
No matter how NORMAL they look and speak
So think twice before judging
Because this little girl is judged everyday
While society still places the same expectations placed upon her small shoulders
Expected to be as NORMAL as any other kid
With people thinking that just because she grew up in a wealthy household that life is dandy
Never understanding the extent of her extra ordinary problems
From being thirteen with two kids…fathered by her father
And imagine how she’ll feel
When her children grow up and start asking questions…
What’s she going to say when they ask?
“Mommy, who’s my daddy?!”

Absolutely horrifying (subject, not poem) and yet in this perverse generation too true...
You did a very good job of capturing the girl's problems, but I believe the reader is too far removed from the emotions of the girl. Maybe that's the way you wanted it... I don't know.

Mind you, these are just my observations and you're quite free to take them as a grain of salt. :)

How terribly sad, there are so many children that are getting abused as I type this comment,
I for one was a victim of this abuse by three different people, one of them several times (not by father)
so I know too well the pain that is left as one becomes into their own, I speak freely about it
now cause it was under the carpet and burried in my memory for years!! I am a healthy loving person by
choice!! This little girl that you speak of is wounded, I hope that she will grow up in this world
helping others like her!! thank you for puting this for all to see!!

Great write. Very horrific and tragically true. I hate that things like this happens, but I applaud your effort in telling this story. How a man can have sex with his own daughter is far beyond my thinking,
but to father TWO of her children, angers me beyond words.

"Mommy, who's my daddy?!"

That's one hell of a question and I can't imagine what you tell the children when they get older! Very well written Lalli!

I suggest, you take the line of thinking and check it in with housekeeping
Clean the judging mentality so that is sparkles with open mindedness

DAMN LALLI!!!! burning rubber with these words
and you did a great job wrapping the story up at the end with the title!
I really don't know what to say but I wish we as the people would stick up for them. These children don't have voice, there to scared. And the older adults keep on looking the other way! Saying "it's not me problem" or "I can't do anything to help them" Think again!

Lalli you relayed this piece from someone else!? Wow the things that inspirer you....
This is brain washing. How can I sleep at night now. Knowing that I and a lot of other people could be helping these children who can't fight for them selves.

I applaud you for taking time out of your day to listen to this man story. To share with all of us and help another speak up for them self. To many times we see this on the 6 clock news. A rapist getting away It to late for his daughter because she now is carring his child. I'm sicken by this!

Thanks for opening my eyes. I will pray everyday for them
Much respect n love,
Anna

This poem's story is true too many times not to believe it. My father is a rapist and it's difficult to accept that a criminal brought me into the world. I love this poem! I absolutely love it. It only speaks the truth. I wish that poem could be published in all forms of literature. The story isn't told enough. Awesome work! I anticipate reading more of your work.
