![]() hawthornA Poem by Lara![]() a walk![]() a piece of her came today, swanning across the heather. a little of her windows sweeping this far... today, like any other, she roots in and holds a lattice of back bone bare. bracing the gale. this theatre of sky and sea, and cliff-edge colliding - composed, in arabesque and gentler windows northward. i regale her in my heart with thunderous applause: her expression and her excellence as principle dancer above all. like odette from the stage, she has flung me a rose, drenched green like an emerald, and cut just as sharp. today, like any other, i marvel and wish to bring it home. "why?" i hear the disbelief "it's a leaf...like any other." but this came from the northside: poised against the brutal winds and holding for the light. i only see a swan. © 2025 LaraReviews
