Pain and Paper

Pain and Paper

A Poem by Whiskurz

I wonder if the quill can feel my pain
As I take it in my hand
Does it feel the heartache I hold inside?
Can it truly understand?

Does the paper weep with each drop of ink?
As I scribble another painful verse
Can it feel my sorrow as I write to be free
Form this seemingly unending curse?

Are the words that I write feeling remorse
As the letters spell out my pain?
Or conspire with my muse in bringing me peace
Until all my demons are slain?

Does the ink feel my tears that fall from my face
As it mixes with my emotion?
Can I count on the words to all fall in place?
Giving me their total devotion

When the last word's written does my quill rejoice
Knowing that all has been said?
Does my paper capture and imprison my pain
Until all my words can be read

Writers are emotionally tied with the quill, our words bind us, connected to our heart and soul. You have captured the doubts and questions many have when thoughts and feelings are so passionately waiting to be conveyed. Well penned!

Of course the quill feels your pain.... then it takes that pain and writes it out on paper for you... so it will hold your pain and give you a chance to breath..... loved this piece !!!
