Wearing My Smile

Wearing My Smile

A Poem by Whiskurz
"

Dark

"
The prince of darkness calls me by name
As I stand here with blood on my hands
He promised me power, fortune and fame
If I do the deeds he commands
So I pick up the knife and walk out the door
Destined to claim my reward
He said, "Your name will be famous forevermore
And I will not be ignored"
The first person I see, will meet death tonight
When a sailor walks by, he's first
I stabbed his heart, with all of my might
Quenching my blade's lustful thirst
I follow a hooker for about thirteen blocks
When she stopped and asked me my name
I said, "I'm death, now hear how he knocks"
She's quite pretty, a pitiful shame
I had followed my victim for over a mile
She screamed, as my knife found her throat
And now this hooker is wearing my smile
And all I could do was just gloat
I made it back home and climbed into bed
The darkness who commands me was vexed
"You promised me three, not two" he said
"I'm sorry to say that you're next"
