![]() How Legends Are BornA Poem by WhiskurzTwo young lovers jumped to their death On top of the old trussel bridge Their bodies were found three days later At the bottom of old mill ridge A letter was found that told of their plight On the ground where their bodies lay still It said that this life forbid them to love But they vowed that death never will A cross was placed on the ground where they lay To mark where the lovers were slain And when the moon is full, the people still see Their spirits that seem to remain Sometimes they're seen on top of the bridge Just moments before they fall They're still holding hands like two lovers do Right before death comes to call This story I've told you has no truth at all So there's really no reason to mourn I just wanted you to see how easy it can be For this is how legends are born
