How Memories Are Born

How Memories Are Born

A Poem by Whiskurz

Wrapped ever so gently, between two smiles
A memory is about to be born
Maybe the first time, when two lovers kiss
Where an allegiance of love is sworn

Or when you hear those wedding bells ring
As each other say, "I will"
A memory is born, that you'll never forget
As both of your hearts stand still

Or the first time when a mother and father
Will see their sweet baby's face
A memory is born, then frozen in time
And stored in that special place

Or the first time they sit on old Santa's knee
Whether they smile or weep
It's a memory that's simply so priceless
One that you'll treasure and keep

Moments like this, will give birth everyday
'Til the curtains of time are torn
Framed on our walls, for the whole world to see
For that's how memories are born
