Before The Heart is Broken

I'm devoured by the silence

That swallows my every being

Blinded by the lack of love

That keep my eyes from seeing

The sound is but an echo

Of shadows as they dance

Murdered by the loneliness

They haven't got a chance

A memory falls without a sound

Then fades away like mist

My hopes and dreams now vanquished

No longer to be missed

Tears that fall will disappear

Before they reach my sleeve

A broken heart will try to cry

But forbidden, it cannot grieve

This is the moment we all must face

The shock before words are spoken

The moment when they say goodbye

Before your heart is broken
