Hello

I've waited all these years just to talk to you

I never thought we'd be meeting quite like this

I was always way too busy, with things to do

I thought we'd say, "Hello" with a simple kiss

It's hard to believe you're here all by yourself

With no one to bring you flowers everyday

For too many years I put my love up on a shelf

And I'm sorry that we have to meet this way

They laid you in the ground about a year a go

And I didn't even know that you were ill

I couldn't bring you flowers for a week or so

I just wanted you to know the way I feel

I will try to bring fresh flowers evey sunday

But today I've brought a long stem rose

I told myself I would bring you roses someday

But who knew that this is how a someday goes?

I've waited all these years just to talk to you

I always loved you, I just never told you so

I was always way too busy with things to do

And I'm sorry it took so long to say, "Hello"
