The Raindrop Poem

The Raindrop Poem

A Poem by Whiskurz

The raindrops melt on the hot tin roof
As they slide to their demise
Sounding like tiny angel's feet
Descending from the skies

The smell as it hits the gravel roads
Is one I truly adore
That smell alone can heal the soul
And leave you wanting more

Sooner or later the raindrops meet
Where other raindrops huddle
A reunion of sorts in the middle of the road
Together to form a puddle

No one knows what raindrops say
When they finally come together
But wouldn't be funny if they meet in the road
Just to talk about the weather

The next time you see a raindrop fall
Remember what you have read
Then maybe you will be the very first
To tell me what the raindrop said

This is adorable, I could see this stenciled on the wall of a nursery. It's happily thought provoking and leaves the reader with a smile.

Your adjectives were pleasant and your opening stanza is very graphic.
