Sunshine Love

Sunshine Love

A Poem by Whiskurz

She saw him on the sidewalk
One evening in the spring
He was tall, dark and bashful
And quite a handsome thing

He never seemed to say a word
Each day as she passed by
He thought she didn't notice him
Or maybe, she was shy

Everyday when the sun came out
She saw him on the street
She wondered if he'd look her way
Or if they'd ever meet

He tried his best to call to her
But he couldn't say her name
He wanted to tell her how he felt
And hoped she felt the same

The sun had introduced them
But it just wasn't meant to be
For shadows couldn't fall in love
They're only made to see

i agree with 'lazylines', there is something pleasant about this, your metre and rhyme together with the story forges a welcome tale

your cadence is comfortably familiar. I float the lines as I read. Its pleasant, the twist. -ll-
