War of the Wizards

War of the Wizards

A Poem by Whiskurz

Above the mountains, deep in the clouds
Is a land where the trees can walk
The legend says a wizard of old
Even taught them how to talk
An evil wizard came to the land
Determined to rule this place
Then a war began between the trees
And the leader of the human race
The evil wizard had cast a spell
Upon the king and his land
The order rang out to cut the trees
And burn them where they stand
But then the trees attacked the castle
Before their plan could be wrought
They surrounded the castle day and night
As the humans and the forest fought
The humans scorched the trees with fire
As it rained down flames from the sky
But the trees kept coming no matter the cost
Though many of them would die
When all seemed lost a miracle took place
That would end this dreadful war
A trumpet was sounded to stop the fighting
As they opened the castle door
The wizard of old had finally returned
To bring peace to the forest and man
The evil wizard was soundly defeated
And so was his evil plan
The trees and humans now live in peace
Thanks to the wizard of old
The trees still walk and talk today
That's how this story was told

Great story. Love when the bad guy is defeated and that here in your story that peace has been restored.
