The Northern Winds of Change

The Northern Winds of Change

A Poem by C.R. Moore "Lasla"

The Northern Winds of Change
Winds of change blow across
my weary shadowed soul
Searching for that  sweet fragrance
 that intoxicates my manhood
Turning my sensibility into a
whirlwind of temptation
partnered with Eros
Hungry eyes  searching
the haunted horizons
Looking for  fleeting
visions of you

Water moves reminding me of your figure
shaped as the river winds
and turns seductive to the eye
 tempting the mind
Clearing the mountain tops
My weary soul climbs upon the starry stairs
Wading through the veil of stars
cosmic art wrapped in darkness
Silent and cold there
is no turning back now

I climbed each step slowly ,longing,
searching for you
 I reach the city walls
I enter  through the  twin ivory gates
 weary eyed wandering aimlessly
Shaken and cold as stone unsure of
what  or who I will  find
Wondering through the
city in the clouds
my mind races to thoughts of you

So far ,but yet so close,
 listening to the whispers
 on the north wind
Many voices I hear
 but none belong to you,
until  faintly barely auditable
I can hear your soft voice
like whispers on the wind
Carrying a message from afar scented
with your sweet fragrance
So far ,so close, yet so far away fleeting
into the dying glow
of an angry sun

The rise of the triple goddess assures that
I am reaching closer to you
The sea of serenity in which we will sail
 unto lands unknown
  solitude in love will
 shine brighter than any star
in the night sky
 The sun slowly
rises above the earth angry,screaming
for relief
He is  waiting for the triple goddess to rise
bring our love higher
              than the angry rising sun.

Interesting story element here but I'm not sure it flows well enough as a poem. Had re-read several lines to try and find a rhythm.
'fortitude of manhood sensibility into a whirlwind of temptation partnered with Eros'
could be the lack of punctuation but I'm not even sure what fortitude of manhood sensibility is.
Very pretty but to an outsider (non-poet) it's hard work.

Poetically descriptive, with some strong imagery.

Well worded. Drew me in and made me want to hear the soft whisper of a voice. It is good at creating that feeling of longing that we all feel sometimes and tend to want to feel the rest of the time.

Very deep and well expressed. I especially like the last stanza...
