Stars

Stars

A Poem by Lathen Griffiths

A sky full of stars
so soulless
lost and cold,
what else except for sullen eyes
would want to linger there,
oblivious to warmer dreams
held soft upon the air.

I breathe, I breathe,
I so bequeath
my wishes all for you,
so you may gaze upon those stars
and see their beauty too,
yet know that we are of this Earth
where every dream came true.
