Brown Eyes Seeking You

This is actually something I wrote for a friend. It's completely based on her ideas, thoughts, and broken heart.

I sit alone on this bed

Brown eyes blinking away tears

Looking at old pictures of you

To fight away my fears.

I don't know what's come over me

And I don't know what to do

No matter what you ever say

These brown eyes will be seeking you.

I never knew exactly how

It felt to fall apart

But you can see in these brown eyes

That you've shattered my heart.

Sometimes I find it's better

To try to disappear

That's why I'm hiding in the bedroom

To silently shed my tears.

I like to know there isn't

Anyone around to see me

With brown eyes crying, seeking you,

And knowing you're not seeking me.

Author's Note

I know it's not great, but she liked it. And, before anyone asks, yes! I did ask her for permission to post the poem I wrote for her, and she did tell me that it was okay.
