Dreaming

Dreaming

A Poem by Laura Kate

I had forgotten how it felt
to reach for you
eyes still closed
hair tangled
lips seeking
reaching
for warmth
naked skin
and a touch
just one
single touch
of the hands
fingers
elbows
knees
feet
there
we’re here
both here
still here
all is fine
you and I
and to smile
returning to blissful dreams
knowing that my sheets
are full of what dreams are made of

lovely dream indeed ... very tactile and emotive setting, scene and characters ... no need to define more that what's offered ... certainly most of us have, and/or have had such dreams ... and to wake to find our lovers in hand ... and so close is a marvelous human experience .. unique to us ... wonderful read start to finish ... perfect title ... thanks for sharing, Laura

A beautiful poem. And I can relate to just the simplest touch producing such a strong feeling of comfort. Your words really make it easy to think back to such times

wow, like it almost happened....or did it?
sheets of white have words describing it..but did the real thing happen or was it only dreamed...

if only closing the eyes could accomplish this....
