Angels

Angels

A Poem by Lauren

Eternally yours, a slave I roam
the misty breath from your dying lungs ignites my sky
the forbidden touch off your calloused fingers sink into my skin
forever branding me with your sins

Your darkened love spreads quicker than ink
painting me black, drowning in a sea of darkness
your tainted wings, so damaged and beautiful flutter softer than an butterflies in the wind

So passive aggressive but eager to love, you love everything or nothing at all. Ink falls from your eyes, blinding your self with ignorance, let yourself find you buried within,  I see your scars, the feathers plucked from your wings.

I see the angels living within your heart, I too am burrowed there.
