![]() My Lady Done Did Me WrongA Poem by LawrenceRaybon![]() A Blues version of Old Mother Hubbard, from the perspective of the dog. My wife and I used to run a puppet troop and this is a song we were thinking about doing with puppets.![]() DOG: She went to the cupboard To get her poor dog a bone. But when she got there, The cupboard was bare, And so the poor dog got none, none, none. My lady done did me wrong! My lady done did me wrong! My lady, my lady done did me wrong! Well, this little doggy, He got no bone, And now Mother Hubbard went and left him alone! My lady done did me wrong! My lady done did me wrong! My lady, my lady done did me wrong! *TRUMPET SOLO* My lady done did me wrong! My lady done did me wrong! My lady, my lady done did me wrong! MOTHER HUBBARD: Well little doggy, I went to the store, We were out of bones so I got you some more! Little doggy why ya face so long? Thought ya mama done did you wrong? But, Mother Hubbard never did you no wrong! DOG: MOTHER HUBBARD: *TRUMPET SOLO* My lady done did me right! That's right! My lady done did me right! Uh-huh My lady done did me so right! You're such a good doggie!
