Unexpected Complement

Unexpected Complement

A Poem by LawrenceRaybon
"

A trio of Senryu that turn an insult into overwhelming complement

"
Your poetry has
The depth of a mud puddle;
The grace of toddlers.

Biologists know
In a mud puddle you find
Vast Universes

And as mothers know
In the laughter of toddlers'
you may find God's Grace

Something profound...Paradox as I see it. You contradicted what you've said from the 1st verse and in my opinion it is a very clever job. From negative into positive...though there's a tone of sarcasm. Excellent!

I got the intent of your poem and tried to reduce it to just one tiny gift verse which you may keep as your own. Your mention of “God” reminded me of a long forgotten Bible verse:

Tiny Seeds

Mustard seeds are small,
but they grow to cover all
wherever they fall.
