Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by Laylah

Let her write, the writer.
Let her write her heart out as the words bleed blood from the pen with which she writes.
Let her realize that he will never write back, that he will never reply, although he reads.
Let her be sure that the message he has received.

She must know he will never respond, nor will he advise if in his heart he is relieved.

For he could care less that her heart bleeds for him.

Let her write, the writer.

Let her pour out her heart for she is woman bereaved.

Oh lover, grow up.
He is not yours by any means, for others hear from him while you don't witness a thing.
Oh lover, grow up.
He is to those where he chooses to be.
And what comes from you is what he does not keep.

So in your heart you must believe, you he does not need.
Oh lover set yourself free and stay away from this dream.

For it will only bring misery and pain.

From you there’s nothing he needs and this must be clear.
