Melted Ice

Melted Ice

A Poem by Vertigo

 It is so strange

When I see you there
Keane irises made of cracking ice
I press my eyes shut
Just to remember...
And every movement is serene
Like a silent earthquake
Why do you look so solemn
In the morning light?
We are born, you say...
Perhaps I am transparent
Perhaps not
To know love isn't solid
Like melted ice.
