Those Rainy Days

Those Rainy Days

A Poem by Vertigo

 The opalescence
The reverberations
Closed eyes
Opening to the rain
That falls almost silently
Flowing through the cracks
I don't mind the gray
That seems to fall through me
Like lightning
Meeting the aftershocks
I lower my eyes
To the puddles casting my moving reflection
And I do not feel, quite so alone...

The shallow drum
Sooths every step
Just as I reach that same lonely corner
That meets every lifetime
As our eyes falter into each other
Pressed irises unfolding
To a presence beyond our hands
For it is better to have company
On these rainy days...

The shallow drum
Sooths every step
Just as I reach that same lonely corner
That meets every lifetime

Like these lines here,
This is a emotional write here,
I can feel this one.
