I'm Not

I'm Not

A Poem by Leanne Conway

I'm not here to please you
I'm not here to amuse you
I'm not here to entertain you
I'm not here to like you
I'm not here to love you
I'm not here to adore you
I'm here to please myself
I'm here to amuse myself
I'm here to entertain myself
I'm here to like myself
I'm here to love myself
I'm here to adore myself
I'm not going to sit here waiting
I'm not going to smile like it's alright
I'm not going to act like I'm fine
I'm getting up and walking away
I'm showing my true emotions now
I'm not fine and I haven't been for years
I use to laugh and smile everyday
Feeling like I was on cloud nine
With no downfall to my happiness
Now I'm staring out the window
Just looking for that escape
A one way train ticket to anywhere
I'm not here to make you smile
I'm not here to make you laugh
I'm not here to make you happy
I'm here to make myself smile again
I'm here to make myself laugh again
I'm here to make myself happy again

This was really deep.
You really opened your heart, all the emotions and feelings came poring out.
The best poems are from the heart, just like this one.
This was REAL!
A tale of heartbreak it seems, but a tale of a strong woman who is fighting to, be happy again and get over this guy.
I applaud you, for being so brave and strong.
Inspirational, piece.
