The Lake

The Lake

A Poem by Lee Lee

Oh God pull me out of this.

This vast, cold lake of confusion, heart ache, and despair.

I’ve been dumped in the middle of it and I can’t see shore.

I can’t feel bottom.

So deep.

So cold.

So big.

So alone.

The waves of it just keep hitting me over and over and over again and I don’t know my way out.

Which way?

God, which way?
