If you where mine

If you where mine hurt would only be a four letter word.

Pain would be something you never felt just over heard.

Because with me pain and hurt are the only two things

i dont have to offer you.

Happiness and joy are  some of the many things brought

forth to you.

You can tell by the way i look at you, its a different man in your path.

Its almost as if you know something like this was meant to last.

Girl if you where mine reason wouldnt come without rhyme.

But then again rhyme would only come at the end of this line.

Because the only thing in mind to rhyme would be reasons to make you mine. 

And the reasons to make you mine is an infinite list but a few i will note.

A few things i will let you know and in your mind ill let them float.

Because in mine they reside with you not having a clue.

My intentions and feelings have and will always remain true.

Reasons for being with you are and will for ever be this.

Beauty such as yours is something that cant be overlooked or missed.

None cant seem to compare, because if you noticed you caught me with a simple stare.

Had me sitting there like who's that angel sitting over there.

Not realizing that the lord himself has blessed me with your presence.

Its your body talk, its your voice, down to your very essence.

Joy is one of the words to describe how i feel when you walk by.

I was star-struck i'm not going to sit here and lie.

Its crazy to imagine what comes your way when you sit back and watch.

Now i sit here waiting like the hour hand on the clock.

For the minute you pass by and say your ready.

Because if you where mine i promise you would never have to worry.

Im sure you heard most if not all before.

But the difference is you never heard it from me and of this im sure.

Im a different type of man a different type of person empowered by a 

benevolent soul.

In search of something to fill a space some one to make me whole.

Im nothing like your before so i'm hoping to become your after.

If you where mine tears would only be from joy or laughter.

If you where mind i would fulfill all your fantasies.

Girl if you where mine you would not only have a promise but a guarantee.

That i would do right by you and make sure each day theres a smile on that face.

The one thing i will for ever cherish is your warm embrace...

If you where mine....If only i was yours girl....

This reads like a song, poem and love letter.
