Wielding the Weapon of Mass Destruction

Wielding the Weapon of Mass Destruction

A Poem by Legion
"

For those that use words to spread their hate and incite their wars.

"

Wielding the Weapon of Mass Destruction

The point of this weapon,

So precise,

When wielded by warmongers

Pierces relativity

With its rhetoric.

Innuendo incapacitates

That which was deemed

Incorruptible.

Out of fallacy,

Foolishness fabricates truth.

Spewing damnation

With deceit

Through documentation.

Lies lambaste

The lexicon of fact.

The wounded word

Questions the quill's intention.

The sword may bring blood

In the heated moment,

But the pen brings change

In the definite infinite.

Again, Legion, you have outdone yourself. Sit down and pat yourself on the back. The words used here evoke a kind of nastiness that you wouldn't notice if being stabbed or bombed. A stabwound heals, bombs die out and the destruction thereof gets cleaned up and reconstructed and the war starts to fade from memory. The words, though, stay forever!

Dear Legion,

A nice twist, this one! Ah, the pen with its point so precise. I truly enjoyed

"Innuendo incapacitates
That which was deemed
Incorruptible."

Wow, that's so insightful. Anyway, very nice write.

Best regards,

Rick

That was powerful too. Again the ending packed a punch in summing up the piece as a whole.
Nicely done.
