Ode To A Pig

Ode To A Pig

A Poem by Legion
"

It is what it is.

"

Ode to a Pig

Porcine ways

Are mud-filled days

And gorging on fine slop.

Down in the sty

The time does fly.

I wish it'd never stop.

My biggest concern,

But I guess I'll never learn,

Is why they named me Pork Chop?

Once again your end just brings it all together so nicely. I love how you are able to show us that the pig will soon become dinner without telling us that. I also like how you approached the ode overall--how you delved into the mindset of the pig and celebrated its use overall.

What it is, is funny. Great rhymes! Once someone uses that knife to cut, its too late for why or what!

Cute, and wonderful as always:P

You are so odd in such a creative, refreshing way:P This poem is so simple but so GREAT at the same time:P

You are one of the few than can make being a pig sound like paradise:P (well, being an oblivious one:| i wouldnt want to be a pig and know why they named me Bacon either:| there is no bliss in ignorance but in that case id rather the latter:|)

I needed this, after the last piece I read. Life cannot always be about watching the late night news. Sometimes, you have to search for some cartoons...

Ignorance is bliss?

My friend had two chickens whose names were lunch and dinner.
