A Day At Home (The Lizard's Loose) Sister's got a pet iguana; She lets it loose to roam through the house. Reptilian reprimands ring through the room As mother heads for the hills. Father's gone to work today And his golf clubs are missing from the hall. Grandpa wanders in a constant haze; I think it's from his pills. The baby's in the 409. Someone forgot her formula. The radio blares through the kitchen. Mom sings along with some 50's tune. A garden hose sticks out from the car Where the neighbor kids play gas station, And I'm alone in my little world, While the lizard runs from room to room. Chorus 1: But the lizard's on the loose And he thinks he's Godzilla Storming across Japan Leaving something on dad's pillow. Grandma's gun in her purse is gone Junior plays "cops" in the backyard. The T.V. screams in techni-color About a war on a distant shore. Sirens wail somewhere down the street And my neighbor's going to jail. I look around in agitation And I scream out, "I'm so bored!". Chorus 2 But the lizard's on the loose Destroying the country side Running up my sister's leg Looking for someplace to hide. Legion (circa 1990)
