Suddenly Beautiful

Suddenly Beautiful

A Poem by Legion
"

Almost forgot to put this one back on here. Silly me. About that moment when you realize that you love someone you have known for awhile.

"

Suddenly Beautiful

  A dream passes, tranquil;
Realization of the vision.
  Shimmering, translucent;
Keeping focus captured.

"I have known you before,
But had yet to realize...'

  A breeze that caresses the soul,
Straining to conquer the zephyr,
  Becoming impaled by pulchritude;
The finality of the enraptured.

'...you're
Suddenly beautiful."

  Touch a distant fervor
And the blaze rages,
  Magnificently radiant;
A chimera to give chase.

"I have known you before,
But had yet to realize...'

  Crashing into the sun!
Only an angel could fall farther,
  Wings glistening in agony,
Descending into your grace.

'...you're
Suddenly beautiful."

You have beautifully expressed the moment of 'impact' and realization that love is imminent. This can be a glorious and confusing state of affairs. What does- pulchritude- mean? I have never heard that word especially when it comes to impalement???
Great title...Suddenly beautiful, rounds this off nicely.
Cheers,
Helen :-)))

This was beautiful! This was really a lovely read but it makes me feel slightly sad as I do not have anyone to love and no prospects of finding someone either, stranger or friend. As for this poem I can think of no improvements to be made, hand on my heart, I think this piece is perfect. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with the world.

Yes its like an epiphany when you suddenly discover the treasure in a person you have known but sometimes you know it instantly and then when that person fades away its worse
