Children of Abraham (A Message For Moshe)

Children of Abraham (A Message For Moshe)

A Poem by Legion
"

Through tears, something for the two year-old child found sitting by his dead parents with their blood soaking into his pants that were killed in the horrible Mumbai attacks. May God or Allah or whoever the hell is in charge have mercy on us all. :(

Children Of Abraham

(A Message for Moshe)

Moshe,

May you grow to understand

That all the children of Abraham

Have failed in their Father's eyes.

Each,

By their own design,

Believe that their way to be divine

And death for those they despise.

Think

Before you retaliate.

Fail to emancipate

The hatred that you will grow into.

Peace

Must come from within

Before you can begin

To relinquish the anger that you will hold onto.

Beget

Not the pain foolish, prideful men created

As they changed your innocence, now faded.

Leaving your parents' blood running cold.

Stop

And spread no further distress.

This cycle you must repress

When the urge to strike back takes hold.

Moshe,

Let Abraham sleep peacefully.

Do not live your life vengefully.

Remember always, but do not react.

Teach

His children and show them humanity

And perhaps someday, through your humility,

You will give them what they've forgotten back.

Yes, we have all failed God in one way or another because we are of the flesh. Thank God that He sent us His Son to bear the penalty for our sins. Great Write.

this is so absolutely truth.
but when we discuss this,
we have to discuss the history
of man, and then we have to this
carefully, it is useful when we speak
different languages, like get a look into
history from different point of view, those
interpretations make folks..they influence?

Humillity, I love this world. I hope, I live iut. I try.
We all need to live it cuz, we have a situation like
1928 but world wide. We need to share. yeah.
What a wonderful writing.

Amen to this! Very well crafted and it oozes with sincerity. That's what so often is missing in such writing. Sincerity and passion.

Hello Jim,

My name is Lesa and I have been trying to get to your site for a very long time now. The world has kind of had my hands tied for a bit and I have not been to the cafe as I would want to.

What a wonderful first read from you and I am going back to search your titles to see if I can find something you have written for a little boy named Moshe. I am sure that there is much more to this story and he has touched you in a way to cause you to give him such sound advice.

I am not even sure if I ever got back to thank you for a review that I found from you and it has been back a ways so I don't remember the name. LOL I do so appreciate the time poets take to visit this non poet, poet, and wanted to be sure that you got a proper thank you from me.

Now I am off to see if I can find a title that inspired your pen to write this. Excellent.

Blessings,
Lesa

Oh Oh, this was an unexpected read, and a well written one at that. I like the choreography of this wonder poem and its message that dances through the clouds while drenching the read with knowledge of hope and understanding. Nice write

I read the story about this adorable little boy and felt so bad for him, though
I know that little can comfort a situation like this. I understand ur message for him
and wish that we all could take this personally by becoming examples for the people
around us. Nice work

I see it continuing, too. This was such a beautiful piece, filled with so much wisdom, and compassion. We are left to dream, I guess, Rain..

Yes this cycle has been going on since Cain and Abel. They didn't learn how to share so they teach their children either. When we get to Abrahams children they continue to fight for the birth right. It's sad that innocent blood is shed for a patch of land.

Very strong write.
