Within its grip?

A simple sincerity

Given the slip.

 

The eye lies

Within the lie.

Decipher this

And you'll see why

The answer sits

Where truth shall die.

 

It strangles.

It stifles.

It mangles.

It muffles.

It destroys.

It distorts.

It controls.

It contorts.

 

What holds the truth

All twisted and torn?

Beaten and broken,

The lie is soon born.
